In 1965, I was 10. While shopping for a family car at the local Ford dealer, all of a sudden there was a rumble and a car leaving a mile of rubber. I asked my dad, "What was that"? He didn't know, but the salesman said, "That's a Shelby Cobra." I was hooked.
For the last 30 years, I have quietly been acquiring and selling some of the world’s most important automobiles. My specialties are the Shelby Cobra, Jaguar, Ferrari, Maserati, Corvette, Aston Martin and vintage racecars. However, as true lover of all things automobile, I often add vehicles to my collection based solely on their significance in shaping the automotive landscape. I work with clients throughout the world, and always appreciate the opportunity to meet someone who shares my passion.
I have to admit, I’m become somewhat of a fixture at finer automotive events. People often ask how I developed such an extensive network, and my reply is always the same: “It took me 35 years to become an overnight success.” That usually gets a chuckle, but those words are true. I’ve always favored dedication over self-promotion, and my clients appreciate that kind of discretion, even in circles where the utmost importance is placed upon the strong statements that only these kids of cars can make.
Many of my sales stay under the radar, which has yielded a customer base that appreciates anonymity and privacy. My clients rely on me not only for my knowledge of cars, but also for my awareness of the marketplace. I get to know each client on a personal level, and then help them secure purchases that are smart investments, as well as exhilarating additions to their garages. I am always seeking the finest original unrestored examples known to man, as well as all important cars in any condition.
I’m proud of the trust I’ve earned, which I believe is based upon my proven knowledge. These days, everyone likes to quote media reports that the value of classic cars is outperforming the stock market. While those reports are true, this classic car “gold rush” has also created opportunities for unscrupulous sellers. It’s a source of pride and even deeper commitment when clients approach me with their vision for a purchase, and then have faith that I’m the person who can make that happen for them.
If you are interested in purchasing or selling a vintage high-performance automobile or racecar, it would seem we already have plenty in common. Please drop me a line at your convenience, and we’ll talk. I look forward to getting to know you.
